Are helper cards and Smartsleeves the same thing?
Do you remember them, the helper cards! Until early 2025, you received a set of helper cards with the numbers 1 through 12 with your set. Helper cards are credit card size cards with the numbers 1/12, in the colors red, green, yellow and blue. You use the helper cards as an aid in some of our games. For example, in Pualua:
- The Picoo controller shows a color.
- Find and scan the card with the same color.
In addition to the helper cards, we had the larger, square Smartsleeves. Smartsleeves are plastic sleeves containing a card, which you can use to combine your own (teaching) fabric with Picoo. For example:
- Pick up the Smartsleeves and the Beast Mess quiz cards.
- Put the quiz cards in the appropriate Smartsleeves.
- Your Picoo controller makes an animal sound.
- Find the picture of the animal you heard.
Recently, the helper cards and Smartsleeves have gone together. From now on, you only get Smartsleeves included when you buy or rent Picoo. The cards work the same. So do you still see "helper cards" somewhere? You can assume that you can use the Smartsleeves for these as well. It works the other way around, too. If it says Smartsleeves you can use the old helper cards. Note: the old helper cards only go up to number twelve, while the Smartsleeves go up to number 24. So it will vary from game to game whether the game can be played entirely with old helper cards or not.
